GEOGRAPHY

Units 2 – Code GEO11

In Geography we will study how natural processes like volcanic eruptions, river erosion and waves shape the land, and then we will investigate how humans have made their impact on the natural world. We will study how some groups of people, like the Amazon Indians can live in harmony with their rainforest home while other people choose to destroy these ever diminishing wilderness areas. If you enjoy learning about how people in other lands live, if you are concerned about people destroying the natural environment, or if you want to learn how to appreciate, understand and enjoy the world around us then you will have the opportunity to do this in Geography.

Unit 2 allows us to compare our suburban lifestyle in Mt. Eliza with the life styles of people in other parts of Melbourne and the world.
